Land Acquisition Prioritization Tool

This tool serves as a preliminary decision-support resource for identifying private lands in North Carolina that are suitable for conservation acquisition. The analysis targets parcels within the documented range of invasive wild hogs and includes areas supporting ash (Fraxinus spp.) populations threatened by the Emerald Ash Borer (Agrilus planipennis). Identified parcels may qualify for funding through carbon credit markets and biodiversity management initiatives, facilitating the strategic conversion of high-risk private lands into protected conservation areas.
